Carmen Cotto Santiago, a Puerto Rican author, speaker, educator, advocate, and survivor of childhood sexual abuse, established Victorious Conversations to break the silence, inspire healing, and create courageous spaces for conversation empowerment. Born and raised in Connecticut with deep Puerto Rican roots, Carmen’s journey is significantly shaped by the realities of La Diáspora, exploring themes of identity, culture, faith, pain, resilience, and personal development between Puerto Rico and the United States. Her lived experiences provide insight into the emotional burdens many women, families, and communities bear while seeking to find their voice and purpose on the path toward healing. With over 35 years of experience in education, social services, community engagement, and advocacy, Carmen is dedicated to empowering others through healing-centered dialogue, storytelling, and culturally responsive programs that honor both individual and collective experiences. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a minor in Elementary Education from Springfield College and a Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership from Albertus Magnus College. Additionally, she is the author of Victorious…My Conversations with God, a compelling memoir that explores faith, survival, emotional healing, resilience, and spiritual transformation. Through honest reflection and courageous storytelling, Carmen encourages others to reclaim their voices, embrace their healing journeys, and rediscover strength, purpose, and hope. HARTFORD, CT — September 12, 2026 — Author Carmen Cotto Santiago held an intimate reading and book signing of her memoir, *Victorious… My Conversations with God*, at The 224 EcoSpace (224 Farmington Avenue) with 30 close family members and friends in attendance.
The event provided a warm environment for Cotto Santiago to share the personal story behind her book, which was developed over more than two decades of journaling and prayerful reflection. Through live readings, she shared her journey toward healing, spiritual resilience, and discovering her true voice.
Attendees connected over common themes of hope, took home signed copies, and had the opportunity to speak directly with the author. “I am deeply grateful to every family member and friend who came to share this milestone with me,” Cotto Santiago said. “Your presence was a beautiful reminder that sharing our stories connects us and lets others know they are not alone.”
